In 1908 A.J. (Andrew Jackson) Bush, along with his oldest sons Fred and Claude, started Bush Brothers & Company as a tomato cannery. Right after World War II all four sons and both sons-in-law of A.J. and Sarah were working in the family business. The Bush’s Best brand was also developed. Condon Bush, grandson of founder A.J. Bush, with his co-workers, Tom Rugotzke and Beatrice Piel, recreated his mother Kathleen Bush’s "Secret Family Recipe" in the Augusta, Wisconsin plant. At present, Bush Brothers produces more than 40 quality products, including tasty kidney beans, chili beans and the famous baked beans.
