Our new innkeepers, Delwyn and Maria Martin, met at the Augusta Victorian Rose! This is why the Bed and Breakfast holds special memories for both of them. Maria and her twin sister, Raina, were doing the innkeeping when Delwyn came to help out doing lawn maintenance in 2010. The Cupid struck when she offered him a glass of iced tea. Beware of what you receive at the Bed and Breakfast! Delwyn asked Maria out on a date. Their friendship grew and ended in a marriage on August 20, 2010. The Bed and Breakfast, thus, becomes their first home since they have been married. Delwyn and Maria come from a Mennonite background. They both love God and people. They believe in following the Bible to the best of their knowledge. They enjoy having and entertaining guests. Maria loves to cook! Some of her dishes are only found among the Mennonite-Amish communities. Come and enjoy your stay. ”Whatever you do,” they said, “make yourself at home!” |
